Northern Nuance is where I share my photographs and reflect on the decisions behind them as part of a continual effort to produce stronger, more satisfying images. I’m interested in making photography a practice, not a scroll.

I photograph both the epic and the everyday, but with the same northern sensibility — calm, observant, grounded. That Northern Nuance is the quiet signature that ties my entire body of work together.

I grew up in North Idaho, and that perspective still shapes how I see the world. Whether I’m shooting a landmark everyone recognizes or a moment most people walk right past, I approach it with the same intentional eye.

I look for mood, honest detail, and the feeling of the place.

My work is about paying attention. It’s about finding something real, whether the scene is huge or simple.
